KXIP vs RR, IPL 2014
Today is KXIP vs RR.
Let's take a look at the teams first.
The KXIP ( Kings XI Punjab). Perfect with their batting, this team is one of the favorites to win the cup.
The bowling looked hayward in the last match, but the quality of T20 specialists in their team, any target can be chased. Opening with Pujara, the classical and more technical batsman and Virender Sehwag, the dasher, the batting looks set. Viru looked in great touch against CSK till he was bowled. No problems if we get to see a Viru Special today!! The treat for the fans came in the last match was from the no.3 batsman Glenn Maxwell. I won't say he deserved a century, dropped twice but as one says fortune favors the brave, Glenn Maxwell played smartly. Even Ashwin was not left. First ball reverse swept for 4. And then comes in Miller, the Killer and George Bailey. So, these batsman should just play their natural game. Bailey and Miller are not just hitters, they are good runners too, and shuffle the strike well if situation demands so. The bowling is not looking good for the KXIP. Sometimes it may put the batsman under pressure. Mitchell Johnson too gave away runs over 12 per over in the last match. Rishi Dhawan was the only bowler who looked good by giving away 21 of just 3 overs. But, the opposition doesn't have their openers right. Interesting to watch Johnson vs Watson.
The player to watch out for KXIP will be V. Sehwag
My playing eleven-
1. V. Sehwag
2. C. Pujara
3. G. Maxwell
4. D. Miller
5. G. Bailey (c)
6. W. Saha (wk)
7. A. Patel
8. R. Dhawan
9. M. Johnson
10. L. Balaji
11. M. Karthik (he should be taken as spin will play the part)
Now, the RR ( Rajasthan Royals). This team won their first match but no so comprehensively as they would have loved to win. The Rajasthan Royals opening pair should be changed. Theres no ways Abhishek Nayar can open and face Mitchell Johnson upfront. Watson should open with Rahane with Nayar at 3.
Sanju Samson can come in at 4 with Binny Hodge Faulkner to follow. The foreign recruits by this side are mostly Australians. The Indian faces in this side are inexperienced, but theres Rahul Dravid to guide them well. Rahane and Binny got selected for the Indian team in the recent T20 WC. The bowling looks a concern. Batting looks OK. This side is still looking for that strike bowler. They don't have any. The spinner Tambe, impressed everyone in the last season, can he do it again? Only time will tell.
The player to watch out for is J. Faulkner
Playing 11-

7. D. Yagnik (wk)
8. J. Faulkner
9. K. Cooper
10. P. Tambe

My prediction is that today KXIP will win! hope so!
